Fillers serve as the home of microorganisms in sewage treatment. First, the differences in types need to be considered.

The first type is soft fiber filler. This type of filler is easy to film, and the contact efficiency between sewage and biofilm is also very high. It is more suitable for large-scale sewage treatment equipment. It should be noted that this type of filler will appear when used for a long time. clumping, broken wires, etc.

The second type is semi-soft filler. This raw material is mainly PE. Compared with soft fiber filler, it is not easy to tangle and form agglomerates. However, the specific surface area is smaller and the cost is higher. It is suitable for small sewage treatment equipment.

The third type is elastic three-dimensional filler. This type of filler uses PE center rope and PP elastic yarn. It is easy to release the film from the mold, has good water and air distribution properties, and is currently widely used.

The fourth type, combined filler, combines the advantages of soft filler and semi-soft filler. It is relatively easy to film and de-mold and has a long service life and good stability, but the cost is relatively high, so it is suitable for small sewage treatment equipment.

In addition to the above, fillers also come in many shapes, such as plum wreaths, fiber balls, etc. If you don’t know which kind of filler you should use for your sewage, you can tell us the BOD of the inlet and outlet water and the sewage flow rate, and we will help you choose the most suitable filler!
