The Working Principle of Tube Settlers

1.Water - flow entry into the sedimentation tank: Firstly, the sewage to be treated enters the sedimentation tank via the water inlet. Before entering the tube settlers, the water usually undergoes pre - treatment to remove some larger suspended solids.

2.Water - flow deceleration inside tube settlers: After entering the tube settlers, the water - flow velocity gradually decreases. Due to the angled pipe walls in the tube settlers, the water - flow path becomes longer, causing the velocity to slow down.

3.Sedimentation of solid particles: As the water - flow velocity decreases, the suspended solid particles in the water start to settle to the bottom of the pipes under the influence of gravity. During this particle - sedimentation process, the water quality is gradually purified.

4.Discharge of clean water: Finally, the treated clean water flows out from the upper part of the tube settlers and enters the next - stage treatment through the drainage system or is directly discharged.

In this manner, tube settlers enhance the treatment efficiency of the sedimentation tank, fully utilize the sedimentation space in the tank, thereby reducing the volume and footprint of the sedimentation tank.

Fields of Tube Technology is Applied

1.Tap - water treatment

In water treatment plants, inclined tubes can improve the sedimentation efficiency of the sedimentation tank, effectively removing turbidity in water and ensuring that the water quality meets the drinking - water standards.

2.Sewage treatment

For urban sewage and industrial wastewater, the inclined - tube sedimentation tank can also efficiently remove suspended solids and sediment in water, reducing the burden of subsequent treatment processes.

3.Industrial wastewater treatment

In some industrial sectors, such as the chemical, power, and mining industries, the inclined - tube technology is widely used to remove suspended solids and oil in water, ensuring that the discharged water quality meets the emission standards.

4.Aquaculture

The inclined - tube technology is also used in water treatment for aquaculture. Especially in fish farming, the inclined - tube sedimentation tank is used to remove feed residues and sludge in water, maintaining clean water quality.

In practical applications, the following factors need to be considered in the design of inclined tubes:

Tube angle

Generally, the inclined - tube angle ranges from 60° to 70°, in order to maximize the sedimentation area and sedimentation time.

Spacing between inclined tubes

The spacing between inclined tubes needs to be designed reasonably to ensure that the water flow is not overly congested, which could affect the water flow velocity.

Material selection

Inclined tubes usually adopt materials with strong corrosion resistance, such as PVC, PE, and PP, to ensure stability during long - term use.

Pipe length and quantity

According to the water flow rate and treatment requirements, the length and quantity of inclined tubes need to be calculated reasonably to achieve the best sedimentation effect.
